Joyous Inspiration for Living Your Best Life.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joy McCarthy, a Holistic Nutritionist, Author, Speaker, and Faculty Member earlier this year. She is exactly as vibrant and full of life in person as she is in her numerous videos. I admire Joy’s approach to nutrition and healthy lifestyle change. She recognizes that this change is not instant like turning on a light switch but rather gradual and involves taking baby steps to get rid of the bad stuff and to incorporate new and positive changes in your life. Furthermore, she advocates a holistic approach that considers the body as well as the mind in helping kick start a journey to a healthier you. I highly recommend a large dose of Joy to anyone desiring a healthy and happy life!

What is Joyous Health?
Joyous Health is a wellness resource to inspire people to live healthier and happy life! It has an abundance of informational videos and articles on healthy living. Joy, founder of Joyous Health promotes whole foods approach to living and treating food as our fuel. She has a very friendly approach to nutrition and healthy lifestyle changes through workshops, personal sessions and through a variety of information on her website.

What inspired you?
Joyous Health was launched in 2009, after Joy completed her studies in Nutrition. Joy’s journey to Joyous health began in her late teen years when she was going through hormonal imbalance, digestive issues and anxiety. She went to different doctors and all she received was prescription after prescription for band-aid solutions that only aggravated her symptoms. She started to research more about the reason behind her symptoms and healed herself by making changes in her diet and adding supplements.

Joy wanted to share what worked so well for her and make it easier for people to find the information they need to live a healthy, vibrant lifestyle.

What is vision for the future of Food?
Joy would love to see us get back to basics and start to care about where the food has come from. It’s not just about being local but also about being aware of what we are putting in our bodies.
