Vegetables don’t have to be boring! You can transform vegetables into tasty holiday sides with our no sugar added sauces. Don’t believe us? Here’s a sweet and spicy roasted broccoli recipe that will have you wanting to eat more and more veggies regularly! This roasted broccoli recipe uses our whole 30 approved Sweet and Spicy BBQ sauce to add flavour with a kick. You also get a boost of protein with the pumpkin seeds, which transforms this side!
Ingredients:
- 300 g of Frozen Broccoli (You can also use 1 head of fresh broccoli)
- 1 Tbsp of Oil of Choice
- 2 Tbsp of Good Food for Good Sweet and Spicy BBQ Sauce
- 2 Tbsp of Pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Traditional BBQ sauces have over 6g of sugar per tbsp, which is more sugar than 1 Oreo. Good Food For Good's Organic BBQ Sauce is sweetened only with 1 date per bottle and has only 1g of natural sugar per tablespoon.
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 D F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss all ingredients on the pan, and mix it using your hands to ensure that the broccoli is evenly coated.
- Bake for 15 – 25 minutes. This will depend on how roasted you like your broccoli!
- Remove from the oven and toss on a plate to serve.
- Have extra sweet and spicy BBQ sauce on the side for dipping and drizzling!
